SEVA election architecture
Candidate and Position Management
Configure contests or positions, candidates, ballot order, party labels, photos, and maximum selections before sealing.
Configure each contest
Define positions or contests and their permitted selection counts. The administration workflow includes candidate names, ordering, party labels and imagery where applicable.
Review the ballot presentation
Check the candidate information and contest rules with the election authority before sealing. A spelling or ordering correction can affect the voter experience and needs an authorized process.
Respect lifecycle restrictions
Configuration and voting belong to different election states. Do not treat candidate maintenance as a live public profile edit once the election definition has been sealed.
Readiness is an operational decision.
Review this part of the system alongside the deployment requirements. Software access is not approval to run an election; governance, mock elections and evidence review remain necessary.
